SPRING CLEANING FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Wednesday May 26, 2010
A weekend of carpet cleaning, grout scrubbing and closet organizing awaits me. I’ve been procrastinating for weeks now, but it can’t be put it off any longer. So, this weekend I plan to do some major spring cleaning at my house.

Spring is a great time to reorganize both your home and your business. Pump new life into your business by getting rid of clutter, revisiting your purpose and adding new skills.

Clear Out Clutter
Think about your business building strategy. Are there things that you spend a lot of time doing that are not providing value? Do you have a stack of email messages and voicemails from people who are not helping you reach your goals?

There’s a great training webinar on the Life Force website that will give you some tips on taking inventory of your leadership and working with the right people. By cleaning out the clutter, you can begin spending time and energy on the people and strategies that are essential to your growth.

Dust Off Your Goals
What do you want to accomplish this month? What about larger goals for the year? Whether you are working toward rank advancement or are just trying to make a little extra income to pay for a summer vacation, revisiting your goals is a great way to remind yourself of what you want to achieve.

If you haven’t done this in a while, go back to your Getting Started Manual and review the reasons you started your business. Keeping your goals in front of you everyday is a powerful reminder of what you’re reaching for.

Sharpen Your Tools
Spring is the time of renewal and reevaluation. Adding new skills or renewing and sharpening old ones is a great way to ignite your business. If you want to hone your public speaking, marketing, relationship building or leadership skills -- start with your upline. These leaders can be a fountain of information on personal development.

Once you commit to spring cleaning you might actually look forward to it. Now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and dig in!

What can spring cleaning do for your business? What strategy works best for you and what results have you had?

I just updated my vision board ~ my first one has many successes on it, ones I felt would be difficult to achieve at best. Didn't even know if it was possible. Not only did it happen, by the dates I had set (which I thought outlandish at the time) BUT I am about 9 months ahead of schedule!! Using a vision board is the best way I have found to keep my goals in front of me continually ~ it's like a mystery how it works, but it has been the single most, biggest factor in my business growth!! Spring cleaning is a great time to update your vision board =)

Spring Cleaning...you would have to bring that up! But every year I find more satisfaction in "cleaning out" the "yesterdays" failures....leaving room for more successes of tomorrow. It really does help to "start anew" with the seasons.
